Gemma is a titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist with a post graduate Masters in Manipulative Physiotherapy from Curtin University. She completed her undergraduate studies in 2004 from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and has 13 years’ experience working in the public, private and sporting sectors. She is currently undertaking her PhD studies at Notre Dame, and has qualifications in Dry Needling and Pilates. Gemma also tutors and supervises post-graduate Masters of Manipulative Physiotherapy students through Curtin University.
Gemma’s special interests lie in the management of complex and chronic pain, headache and BPPV (Vertigo). She has also been the physiotherapist for interprovincial and country teams back in Ireland. As a keen sports woman herself and having represented WA and Dublin for Gaelic football she has a good understanding of sports injuries, training loads and rehabilitation. She has a very patient centred and pragmatic approach and coupled with her extensive professional endeavours this individual approach allows Gemma to sift through the complexities of injury and pain to centre on the cause of your problem.
